Webel Education and Training Initiative(Erstwhile Webel Informatics Limited - WIL division) is imparting quality training to deserving youth with a view to make them employable in the Industry in the field of IT-ITeS, Electronics, Emerging technologies & related fields along-with zero downtime online assessment set-up for examinations. In addition, Webel Education and Training Initiative imparts training to working professionals of Corporate / Government / PSU sectors for upgrading their skills so that they can opt for their next stage easily. This is one of the very few organizations in India, imparting education and training for more than two decades.
Since 1992, Webel Education and Training Initiative has produced around 12000 industry ready professionals every year from its own classrooms and authorized training centers (established at more than 118 locations throughout the state of West Bengal). Besides students, we have imparted training to more than 7500 numbers of participants from 36 no. of Government Departments. Webel Education and Training Initiative conducts various Diploma and Certificate courses in Software, Programming Languages, Hardware with Networking and Multimedia courses - besides a host of other Basic and Advanced IT courses. Special emphasis is given while training College Students of around 22 nos. of colleges in the state to make them ready for professional placement after graduation.
Webel Education and Training Initiative is the first center of Eastern India providing Global Certification Training in 2002 on Cisco Systems and RedHat India Ltd technologies and since then our training on Cisco and RedHat technologies gained huge demand. Every year, good number of students are placed and/ or employees' upgrades happen after completing their training. For the official tie-up with the vendors, we are able to provide quality training to students at a very good discounted rate also for global examinations opportunities.
Being a CISCO Networking Academy - our CISCO Certified Trainers provides Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA) and Cisco Cyber security Operations (CyberOps) training with all necessary real device based practical.
Also being a RedHat Certified Training Partner we provide RedHat Global Certifications trainings (e.g. RHCSA: RedHat Certified System Administrator, RHCE: RedHat Certified Engineer) with global examinations through our dedicated Linux Labs.
As the Cyber-crimes increases day by day, Webel Education and Training also provides seminars on different cyber security topics on demand besides its training on Cyber security. We also conducts customized training programmes as per the requirement of clients/ students. Presently in FY22-23, we have imparted the training on IT & ITeS to 178 numbers of police personnel of Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy (SVSPA), Barrackpore sponsored by IT&E Department, GoWB. During the last consecutive few financial years we have imparted training to the personnel of WBPDCL (West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited) at their various plants including corporate office.
Recently Webel Education and Training wing has been chosen by EC Council to conduct popular CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and CHFI (Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator) programs at its premises.
Webel Education and Trainingis engaged as a "Consultant" by Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal to implement and monitor ICT@School project in 9000+ schools. The School Education Department has embarked upon providing ICT enabled education environment in the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools. Though there are schemes like ICT@School under MHRD for ICT enabled education, however, the volume of fund available and expected share to the State of West Bengal seems too inadequate to bring the maximum possible schools under the ICT umbrella. Hence, the School Education department has taken up the prestigious task of enabling the schools with ICT enabled environment in a very short period. Implementation of the schemes started from 2012 onwards.
Beside Training and Education activities, Webel Education and Trainingis also engaged in training allied activities of Web Site Development including hosting and maintenance to some State Government Departments.
