Bengalathon 2019 was launched on 27 of July 2018. More than 800 teams registered from different parts of India like
Maharashtra, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Haryana and Tamil Nadu. 117 teams submitted their ideas which
were evaluated in the first round. 61 teams went to the second round and 19 teams are moving to the final round. The
names were announced.

This was followed by lighting of the inaugural lamp.
