    The CoE offers training and mentoring to graduate students and working professionals in these four technologies to
    enhance  their  employability,  reboot  their  careers  or  become  entrepreneurs  of  technology  start-ups.  The  training
    relies heavily on experiential learning and is 70% hands-on. Besides creating technological expertise, the CoE also
    works to build a range of behavioural and managerial competencies to ensure that graduating students have the full
    range of skills that are required in the workplace. Both post-graduate certificate courses as well as short courses
    covering a range of subjects in the areas of emerging technology are offered in the CoE.

    In order to ensure that the content for the technology training is cutting edge and as per industry requirements, the
    CoE  has  teamed  up  with  leading  technology  companies  for  content  and  certification.  These  include  Intel  (Data
    Science and IoT); nVidia (Data Science); Stratasys (3D Manufacturing); Dassault Systemes (Production Design) and
    IMI Israel as well as TCG Digital (Cybersecurity).

    The CoE offer its infrastructure and world-class expertise for large, micro, small & medium enterprises (MSME) to
    design, prototype, build products and solve business/ technological/ marketing challenges.

    The CoE has a state-of-the-art Co-working space for technology start-ups, and an incubator for driving innovation
    and developing new businesses. Start-ups spawned by the CoE will have access to leadership, management, labs and
    technology consulting services.

    The CoE offers a range of solutions for Corporates. These include a pool of highly skilled talent to meet hiring needs,
    Consulting and Advisory Services as well as the use of the Infrastructure as a Service. Corporates can use the labs
    and  the  expertise  of  the  CoE  for  prototyping  and  new  product  design  as  well  as  carry  out  Analytics  to  harness
    business intelligence and improve decision making. Organizations can use the infrastructure of the CoE to test their
    cybersecurity defenses and explore cutting edge solutions from the rich network of partners.

    This combination of services and technologies creates a unique interface and a holistic ecosystem  that can drive
    talent and business development in the state of West Bengal. Through this initiative launched by the Government,
    CoE has the potential to radically transform skill development in Bengal and help to create far-reaching social and
    economic upliftment in the state.


                       DSCI EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2020



    Cyber  Security  Centre  of  Excellence  (CS-CoE)  under  Dept.  of  Information
    Technology & Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal was declared Winner in the
    category  “Raising  Security  Awareness”  for  DSCI  Excellence  Awards  2020.
    The submission of nomination was done in 31st October and the Award
    Declaration Ceremony (Online) was held on 17th December 2020.

    CS-CoE also has been shortlisted as finalist in the category “Best Security
    Practices in Government Sector”.
