NEW PRODUCTS DEVELOPED IN 2020-2021

Webel is the only manufacturer of Sound Limiter which has recognition from National Green Tribunal (NGT). The first
version of the product PAL-01, developed in 1998 was based on LDR (Light Depending Resistors). The second
version PAL-02 was developed in 2012 which is based on VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier). There was a lot of
improvement in the performance in PAL-02 as compared with PAL-01 due to the radical change in it’s design
aspects. Now, keeping the performance achieving design aspects unchanged we have developed PAL-03 with three
distinct differences with PAL-02: a) Provision for Selection of two stage Level Control b) Direct indication of the
controlled level c) Sleek, plastic moulded body.

Sound Limiter PAL-03 is a self-contained unit, built around solid state
devices. The unit is easy to connect with a wide range of Amplifiers of
different ratings and make not exceeding 500 Watts. It does not require any
external adjustment. A LED is provided at the front panel which indicates
power On/Off status of the unit. A LED BARGRAPH indicates the actual
audio level at a distance of 5 meter from the source. The Audio amplifier is
powered from the 3-pin socket available on the device panel. A front panel
LED bar graph provides an indication of the audio level present at a
distance of 5 meters from the source with a resolution of 3dB / LED. Sound Limiter PAL-03

The device automatically adjusts the input level of the Amplifier so as to keep the desired dB level to a fixed value
even if the volume control of the Amplifier is set for a higher output level. The reference level of 65db & 75 dB is
pre-set at our works and is tamper protected.

NOISE MONITORING TERMINAL (NMT – 01)

We have developed Noise Monitoring Terminal for the first time in the country. The different State Pollution Control
Boards (SPCB) are importing such systems from abroad. This is a significant product developed following the
development of hand held Type-2 sound level meter with several advanced features, SLM-04 in 2018. The product
will undergo qualification testing for certification at NPL shortly.

The NMT-01 is an outdoor type equipment which can be installed at different
public places where it is necessary to monitor the ambient noise on 24x7 basis.
The device is mounted in 8-11’ high steel tower and has a provision for running
with normal A/C source or/and Solar Power. The tower holds a Solar Panel at
its top which is connected to the NMT-01 module which basically acts as
charger for the Li-Ion battery installed in the device for providing power to the
entire NMT hardware. The other external component of the NMT-01 is the
outdoor type Type-1 Microphone. This is the most expensive part of the
system and responsible for the finest measurement accuracy of the system.
