Webel Data Brio Academy at Salt Lake, Kolkata has been set-up to provide training to candidates in the field of Data
Science & related technologies and making them employable for the Industry.
o Courses on offer are Digital Marketing, Android Mobile Applications, Business Analytics, Big Data & Business
Analytics.
o The Academy has successfully enrolled over 100 numbers of Students in the past three year of Operations.
Collaboration with NIELIT
MoU signed between WBEIDC & NIELIT to impart training to unemployed youth from IT Parks in the Districts and
surrounding areas.
o Training fee: 50% is sponsored by Department of IT & Electronics, GoWB and 25% by NIELIT. The remaining
25% of fee is paid by Students.
o The Academy has successfully enrolled over 2000 numbers of Students in the past Two and half years of
Operations.
o Courses on offer are Digital Literacy, Diploma and Advanced courses in Computer Application, PC Hardware,
Networking, Solar Technology & Multimedia Animation.
DEMONS OF THE INTERNET

The world is moving from convergent to ubiquitous systems and with the advent of technologies that actually again
converges to a digital platform raises one of the greatest perils in terms of cyber and data security which are two
different aspects of defining the subject which we term as Cyber Demons of the Future where we come across the
“Unknown World” or otherwise known as the “Dark Web” which is an overlay network with capabilities of phishing
kits, such as RaaS (Ransomware as a Service), RaaS platforms. The algorithms which run on the platforms and much
more powerful with “botnets” crawling over the web across each layers, which means primarily we are vulnerable to
cyber-attacks. These are a demons which are working round the clock watching us from an Unknown World which
comprises 96% of the entire Internet splitting the Internet into two layers, one is the Surface Web and the other
being Dark Web. As we can see below it is an Ice Berg that is a stronger and much prevalent, yet we do foresee the
disasters it may cause anytime and from anywhere. We may call this as the “Internet Aka” which invariably the
Internet world. This can be further split into the Surface Web, Deep Web and the Dark Web wherein the Surface Web
is just 4% of the entire Internet world as per the image from sources.
The Dark web being the most unknown, anonymous and the deepest part of the Internet where it is also known as
crime world. However, across platforms it has been observed that the dark web has content which is unimaginable to
the normal world and even to a normal person. As already mentioned experts say 96% of the Internet is hidden, in
which 90% is considered to be in the Deep Web and 6% in the Dark Web. The 6% which is called the most hidden,
most dangerous, anonymous and the darkest part of the Internet. Though, in some cases some confusions have
been found in measuring the size of the “Dark Web”, it is predominantly understood that it is not constant with
