NKDA Birth & Death Certificate in Blockchain

Project Features:
The Blockchain based Birth/Death certificate issued by New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) ensures
high level of integrity and trust. All the data of the certificate issued is embedded in form of transaction in linked Blocks
in the decentralized distributed network of nodes. The record is cryptographically secured with easy verifiability. The
data is tamperproof and immutable in the nodes which effectively addresses any challenge of cyber-attacks on the
centralized databases. All transactions recorded in the Blockchain based ledger are transparent and impossible for
anyone with any access role in the network to update in the associated Blockchain based ledger.
Some of the advantages are as follows:

o Aggregate data would be easily available
o Increase transparency and accountability
o Removal of redundancies and deduplication
o A simple and credible process to check authenticity with timestamp

General Election Management System

Project Features:
GEMS-the interactive SMS and Web based Election Management System has been developed for monitoring the entire
election process smoothly. The application is meant for use by the West Bengal State Election Commission and its
subordinate offices. This application ensures the Election Commission for smooth handling of the election process,
better and effective coordination with the Election Officials. It covers the 4 phases of election process- Nomination
Phase, DC/RC phase, Poll day Phase and Counting Phase.
The main features of the project are:
o It does not need any workstation to generate usable data for conducting an Election. Only a simple mobile
phone with SMS capability can generate important data.
o The data starting from Polling Officers, Observers etc. can be fed either through Phone or the Web interface of
the system
o The monitoring is based on some reports with the data fed through SMS from different polling stations or
DC/RC. Based on these reports, actions are planned centrally from the Commission’s office to direct instructions
to Police or District level officers/ Observers.
o Assigned persons who received the “Ballot Box” from Dispatch Centers (DC) gets notified in the GEMS through
respective SMS.
o The system is gets real-time alarms from different polling stations
