In his keynote address Shri Ambarish Dasgupta, Principal
Advisor to the DITE, Govt. of West Bengal and Senior
Partner and Founder at Intueri Consulting LLP covered the
topic “IoT – ushering the connected existence”.

He said that the human beings, starting from an individual
to a country are more into a path of isolation. All are
getting disconnected. All are kneeing down in front of
technology to get the feeling of the connectedness as
much as they can.

Dr. Santanu Paul, Principal Advisor to the DITE, Govt. of
West Bengal and CEO, MD at TalentSprint delivered his
keynote address on the topic “Born to Eat – Edible
Computing and the Internet of Food”. At first he expressed
his delight by saying that “I don’t think there is a single State
in the country today organizing such a series of interesting
workshops. It’s really really very good”. He said that given
time technology and biology would converge. Connected
existence is much more true than what we think. The gap
between Carbon & Silicon, Biology & Technology, Physical &

Digital is vanishing.

Mr. N. K Mahapatra, CEO at Electronics Sector Skills Council
of India deliberated the topic “IoT standards for safe &
secure IT systems”. He said that this topic is probably one
of the most leading things that will be happening in the
internet and electronics world in coming few years. Since
devices are becoming smarter, people are becoming
smarter, our country’s future depends on how we
implement projects around us.

The next topic was “State of Technology in Internet of Things” covered by Shri Ravi Koulagi, Global Director, CISCO, under
whose able guidance they developed the CISCO Smart City Solutions including an IoT platform called CISCO Kinetic for
cities.
