    Dr. Mitra mentioned that Fujisoft, the Japanese software giant has started partnering with the state government so
    that  MSME  can  benefit  through  the  former's  advanced  3D  design  technology.  Fujisoft  will  integrate  the  most
    advanced design technology which can be used for the jewellery sector and metal sector to give them the much-
    needed boost. Fujisoft had signed a MoU with the state IT department at the Bengal Global Business Summit two
    years ago will also offer training in cutting edge technology to IT professionals, he added.

    With the advancement of technology, e-Governance has helped the Government to enhance the coverage, increase
    transparency,  improve  response  to  citizens  and  lower  costs.  It  has  also  expanded  its  horizons  in  the  form  of  m-
    Governance which is fast becoming the preferred mode of availing services by the citizens. In contemporary times,
    Social Media is being increasingly used as a medium to engage the citizens with Government in democratic process,
    social reforms and financial inclusion.

    Department  of  Administrative  Reforms  and  Public  Grievances  (DARPG)  along  with  Ministry  of  Electronics  and
    Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, in association with one of the State/UT Government organizes
    the National Conference on e-Governance every year since 1997.

    This  Conference  provides  platform  to  the  senior  officers  of  the  Government  including  IT  Secretaries  of  State
    Governments, IT Managers of the Central Government, and resource persons, experts, intellectuals from the industry
    and  academic  institutions  etc.  to  discuss,  exchange  views  and  experiences  relating  to  various  e-Governance
    initiatives.

    The  23rd  National  Conference  on  e-Governance  was  held  at  the  National  Sports  Club  of  India,  Mumbai  on  7-8
    February 2020. The theme of the conference was “India 2020: Digital Transformation”. An Exhibition showcasing the
    awarded and other best practices of the country was also organized during the Conference.
