THROUGH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES – A TAKE ON

WEBEL INITIATIVES

An webinar on “Leveraging Innovation and Business Growth through Emerging Technologies – A Take on
Webel Initiatives” was organised by WBEIDCL on 28 January 2021 from 1500 hrs.

The webinar started with the introductory speech by Shri Rajeev Kumar,
IPS, Principal Secretary to the Department of IT & Electronics,
Government of West Bengal, followed by a keynote address by Shri
Sanjay Kr. Das, WBCS (Exec), Jt. Secretary to the Department of IT &
Electronics, Government of West Bengal.

While talking about Karmobhumi project Shri Sanjay Kr. Das said that
this is the place where Govt. of West Bengal is interested in making the

sharing. A platform has been created where transaction of public data
can be shared with the homegrown industry, the start-up and the

The webinar witnessed a marvellous speech by Dr. Piyush Sharma, Director (East Zone), NCIIPC, Kolkata who
talked on “Importance of Cyber Security and Data Security in Our Personal and Professional Life”.

Shri Gnana Kumara Swami, Co-founder and CEO at Advanced Rotating Machinery and Intelligent Systems R&D
Pvt Ltd talked on Internet of Things (IoT) and its usability in health care field.

Shri Anindya Ghosh Associate Partner – Advanced Analytics, AI, IBM talked on the topic “Leveraging Innovation
& Business growth through Emerging Technologies”.

Smt. Smita Pandey, IAS, Secretary to the Department of IT & Electronics, Government of West Bengal and
Managing Director of Webel elaborated Webel’s role in creating Emerging Technology Ecosystem in the state
and mentioned about the initiatives Webel has taken in the space of emerging technology.
